Half Birthday Genesis

As you are almost certainly aware, I was born early in the AM on Super Bowl Sunday several years ago.  As Christians, we celebrate Jesus of Nazareth's birthday every year right around that time of year, too.  That's a whole lot of celebrating within a relatively short period of time.  Plus, it's generally warmer in the summer than in the winter.  And so my parents invented Half Birthday.  Extra good news, though: Half Birthday is now in the public domain, so you can very legally have one of your very own.

Half Birthday Revelation

I've been to quite a few weddings and funerals over my several years, and I've learned that the only time in most people's lives that they have even a chance of getting all the people that they know, love, care about, like, are Facebook friends with, etc, all in one place at the same time is at a wedding or funeral (generally their own) -- and even then they're so focused on doing their thing that they don't get to adequately enjoy all the people that showed up on their behalf.  So now I have Half Birthday as an attempt at an annual Life Reunion, where people from all over my life can come hang out, get to know each other, possibly enjoy themselves, and maybe even spend some time with me, too.

So, that's the plan.  Get it on your calendar.  Thanks for being in my life.
